WSJ wonders at the reasons Obama...

...is continuing to slow roll the Gulf's cleanup efforts:

Multiple Choice:
A) Incompetence
B) Placating the Unions
C) Capitalizing on the Tradgedy

All of those sound like legitimate reasons.

Certainly the president has displayed an astounding lack of competence and preparedness - Not what you'd expect from a Messiah now is it?  From embarrassing himself all over the globe by genuflecting to muslim leaders, hugging south american dictators, bowing to chinese communists, and snubbing England at every opportunity, Obama has certainly showed his amateur status.  By bungling just about every decision and by squandering an incredible amount of political capital that he had 'earned' in the election, he wears his incompetence like a cheap coat.

He has shown no reluctance in placating unions either, so option 'B' would be no shocker.  The SEIU for all intents and purposes owns the prez, and he turns political tricks for them like a hooker on her birthday.  Obama's relationship with the union is so convoluted and incestuous it is difficult to tell which one is the puppet and which one is the ventriloquist.  Perhaps they each have their political arms greased up and elbow deep in each other, and they take turns making the other one talk.

And it you just wouldn't be able to call him a democrat without having him cash in on a tragedy, so option C might be the correct choice too.  Paul Wellstone's Pep Rally funeral comes to mind. So does using the alcohol soaked corpse of Ted Kennedy to help push through the Healthcram bill.  I fully expect they to milk the teat that is Robert Byrd's death for every drop of sympathy they can wring from it.  And so why not the Gulf tragedy?  Dems and libtards on forums all over the place are already using the opportunity to bash capitalism, 'Big Oil', deregulation and, of course, Bush (never mind that government regulation pushed us to drill ever deeper, and the same government didn't bother enforcing the safety inspection regulations already in place...).

Any choice is easily argued, A, B, or C... But if you choose D) all of the above, you'd probably be more correct than any single choice...
