Transparency???
How is it acceptable, in any way, that Pelosi (who promised transparency on all bills brought up for a vote 72 hours prior to that vote...) refuses to allow the healthcare bill before the house to be posted and disseminated?
Further, how is is allowable that our represented officials do not read these bills before they are voted upon?
Democrats, 'party of the people', where is the transparency promised so often from Jan 08 to now?
If you are bothered that you congressional representative is not able or not willing to read the healthcare bill before the vote comes up, please call congress. Call them over and over. Do no accept any hang-ups. Voice your concerns.
Find your representative with your zip code and then call them. Each rep may have several offices, call them all! There is also a link to email them. If you have several email accounts, use them all.

Why such love for Global Warming? I’ll give you billion and billions of reasons…
When oil companies develop and then put into production, methods for spinning a one foot diameter drill bit fast enough to cut through miles (the record is 35,055 feet – that’s over 6.5 miles…) of earth and bedrock, pull up oil from that well, refine it, ship it, and sell it for myriad uses (plastics, gasoline, heating oil, lubricant, etc…), they are labeled Big Oil, and ridiculed and hated…
When tobacco companies employ tens of thousands of workers, produce a product (albeit an unhealthy one) that folks want (in spite of the health risks...) and sustain a market share despite debilitating and predatory taxes, they are labeled Big Tobacco, and roundly criticized as being the greatest evil on the face of the earth…
When Walmart comes into a community, and provides hundreds of jobs and discount items to the public, and billions to stockholders worldwide, they are protested and picketed by people that in all honesty probably haven’t bathed in weeks, nor have they bothered to even pick the lint and dandruff out of their knotted dirty dreads. And they are shouted at for being Big Business, and are routinely attacked by unions, professors, and other useful idiots.
But when Al Gore sees hundreds of millions in profits for movies and investments in more expensive, and disturbingly inferior trash, known as ‘Green Tech’ and ‘Green Initiatives’, there is nothing wrong.
When GE lobbies the government, and the democrats, heavily to pass bills making their Green Tech more profitable, nobody bats an eyelash (well, except for the said lobbyists, for whom batting an eyelash is just the opening salvo in the flirtatious dance of the lobbyist and politician…)
Global Warming is Big Business, and we should be leery of politicians pushing for and profiting by it. Especially when they push so hard.
Nobody is allowed to ridicule GW.
Nobody taxes GW.
Nobody in unions, in academia, or in the international community attacks GW.
Despite the fear mongering and bad science surrounding Global Warming/Climate Change, it continues to draw in the shills, and folks like Al Gore, using more snake oil than science, to huckster more dollars out of more people than a southern Baptist minister preaching a fire and brimstone sermon. And the useful idiots, paying their union dues, skipping the crucial wash/rinse/repeat sequence, and spouters of nonsense with tenure, play their role perfectly…

Civil Libertarian Obama? Yeah, not so much...
In yet another attempt to mimic the Bush administration, the Obama admin is turning its nose up at civil liberties and insisting that a potentially damaging case against wiretapping be dismissed on grounds that allowing the case to move forward would jeopardize intelligence efforts...
Don't let this article fool you as they attempt to draw a line of demarcation between Bush and Obama. In this case it doesn't exist, and this is just another in a series of 'Bush League' moves by Obama.
Let's hope this judge doesn't fold over for team Obama, and lets the case move forward.
What's that? Another campaign talking point abandoned? Can you imagine that? It almost as though this tool of a president just said whatever was necessary to get into office. /sarcasm

"The Obama administration has essentially adopted the position of the Bush administration in these cases, even though candidate Obama was incredibly critical of both the warrantless wiretapping program and the Bush administration's abuse of the state secrets privilege," said Bankston.

October - Deadliest month yet in Afghanistan - Obama continues to dicker and dally
Obama repeatedly told us during the '08 magical mystery campaign that Afghanistan was important. That stablizing the region was crucial. While saying all the right things about Afghanistan being the correct focus of the (now defunct) War on Terror, Obama routinely criticizing George Bush and the GOP for having no discernible policy in Afghanistan, letting the situation get out of hand. Perhaps rightfully so.
But in a bewildering turn of events, nine months and a few days after the ascending his throne, as in many other cases, Obama once again decides to follow Bush's direction and, well, not lead.
The words, those golden flowery, flowing words that Obama spouted often during thecommunist coup campaign bears more than a little bit of scrutiny at this late date. Words pertaining to Bin Laden, glistening with chest thumping bravado and bolstered with threats to capture and/or kill the terrorist, Obama claimed Bin Laden was still at large because of Bush and the GOP's focus on Iraq. Again, perhaps rightfully so...
Fast forwarding to these days of reality and discarded notions of hope and change, we are forced to watch, while the president dickers with Fox News, scolds dissenters, pushes a socialistic agenda, and primping and preening like a popinjay for the myriad cameras, as Obama lets any decision on what to do in Afghanistan drift away on the ever stronger wind born from the growing number of sighs of discontent and disillusionment... And dismay... For our president has cultivated a (non) policy of allowing soldiers dying at a the escalating rate. A rate that has set records three months out of the last four for soldier deaths...
Commander in Chief - Lead!
This isn't the hope and change we can afford. Bolster our troops. Fortify them with what they need to win. And then, perhaps you can follow through on at least one campaign promise... And one that will garner for you, the bipartisan support you constantly tell us you crave...
In the meantime I, and many others, will continue to hope and fervently pray that you come to this decision rapidly, before it costs even more American lives.

Golf: More Important to Obama than your loved ones in Afghanistan
In an 'unofficial' tally, Obama has teed up two dozen (24) times since coming into office.
By way of comparison, it took Bush two years to hit that mark. Not included in the tally are the number of times Hisself has hit the hoops court since coming into office. We've heard of Teh One tossing baskets several times over the last several months, and it has been bandied about as a very cool thing for our president to do.
Like golf, cooler than making any sort of decision about protecting our troops in Afghanistan, I guess.

49 out of 57 states have lost jobs...
Or, in the real world, where folks can actually count the number of states, that's 49 states out of 50 losing jobs since the messiah's stimulus went into effect.
Only North Dakota has posted job growth. Well thank God for that... But the net loss is 2.7 Million jobs lost since January. How many jobs were we promised this spending bill would save and/or create? I'm fairly certain that the figure was not -2,700,000...
This does not seem like hope.
Likewise it doesn't feel like change. Or at least change for the better.
And by no means did this stimulus stimulate.
But I know, I know, this is all Bush's fault, right?

More Global Warming Hysteria
I guess Gordon Brown, the beleaguered PM of London, didn't see the BBC's Article that pretty much picked apart global warming. The PM warns that we have just 50 days to fix things. Just 50 days... OR WE WILL ALL DIE!
Brown's 'proclamation' here.
From the article:
Brown conveniently missed the fact that the 'intense temperatures' were a localized phenomenon, having to do with natural fluctuations and not anything to do with the faulty science of Global Warming. (as though a few AC-Lacking Frenchmen buying the farm in 2003 is such a bad thing...).
Dubiously absent from the PM's fearful and emotional pleadings are a few facts that are becoming more difficult for those in the Global Warming business (and what a business it is - a $30Billion industry...), such as the 'trivial' fact that temps have not climbed in over eleven years (again from the BBC). I'm guessing that this eleven year hiatus of rising temps are not figured in -whatsoever- to the 'trends' Brown alludes to in the above quote. Other wise it would have read: 'On current trends, Britain would be fine for at least another eleven years, with no idea what lies beyond, warming, cooling, or just more of the same'...
But that kind of common sense doesn't create fear. That doesn't motivate the ever increasing idiot portion of the population (liberals). And, in the end, that doesn't make money in the form of tax dollars for the government. Any government, our own included, stands to gain from the business of Global Warming. Billions in tax revenue and the added bonus of control over the populace is enough for any government to ignore, to borrow a popular phrase, the 'inconvenient truths' that global warming is nothing more than a revenue generating machine. .
When you hear this hand wringing, these reference to false climate models, and the pleading for your sacrifice to help stave off some nebulous climate change that hasn't happened yet and seems unlikely to happen, just remember what Ayn Rand said:
Hmmmm.
Brown's 'proclamation' here.
From the article:
"On current trends, such an event could become quite routine in Britain in just a few decades' time. And within the lifetime of our children and grandchildren the intense temperatures of 2003 could become the average temperature experienced throughout much of Europe."

Obama LIC - LIAR IN CHIEF
A Youtube video counts out seven lies in under two minutes. One of the lies is a misquote, which is really just a mistake. But if we learned anything over the last eight years of highly patriotic democratic dissent (you know - when dissent was patriotic...), it's that even mistakes are lies. So I present to you our Liar-In-Chief rattling off one untruth after another.
Yep, all of that transparency talk has fallen by the wayside. It's lying there discarded in the dirt. You can't see it? It's right between the hope and the change.

Global Warming Update:
Even the BBC is getting on the bandwagon taking shots at Global Warming and the myriad problems of the theory, including the lack of observable science inherent in the biggest fear mongering boondoggle of the last 20 years.
Maybe the greatest irony of it all is that this is coming from the BBC, not exactly a bastion of conservative philosophy.

Having fun at the expense of others...
I used to have that as a bumper sticker. Though it could have been a political statement, at the time, it was not. I'm one of those mean spirited a-holes that likes to watch people slip on the ice and fall. I die laughing.
Last week I was at Disney World. My brother and I amused each other directing our attention at morbidly obese people, and the revealing clothing they wore. Or at the lady with a cowboy hat wearing a half shirt, slabs of flab hanging over the overburdened waist of her jeans... We scrambled to snap pictures of that gem...
My family is like that, and unsurprisingly, my closest friends share my dark edged humor. I am a mean man, and cannot help what I find funny...
So, imagine my sick glee upon discovering the website below.
I introduce you to, The People Of Walmart
Enjoy!

Poor Kid
Poor little girl, that dollar figure is just the tip of the obama marxist redstributive iceberg. Just wait until he's done bending over America's last few producers in order to forcibly rape more money from us in order to funnel it over to the undeserving, parasitic, democrat-created, leech class. Hope and change, hope and change, dear God protect us from any more of this evil perpetrated in the name of hope and change.
Perfect day outside...
...Time to go fishing.
Went this weekend, btw, and caught a 5lb2oz largemouth, it measured nearly twenty inches. Biggest bass of the year, and my entire fist fit in its mouth. Bass have a pad of inwardly curved teeth on their bottom jaw. In average sized fish these teeth amount to little more than sandpaper. In a five pound bass, the teeth are pronounced enough to score a series of bloody weals into the meat of a thumb - well worth it though, of course... I also got a pair that each weighed three pounds even. I caught nine others varying in size from a pound to a few ounces. One was only a knuckle or so longer than my middle finger, barely bigger than the lure I was using...
Fall is the best time for bass fishing. The fish are on a feeding frenzy, fattening up for the cold weather pending...
So forgive me if I'm more inclined to talk about slimy creatures from the pond rather than the normal instances of pond scum I talk about over the next few weeks...

Roman Polanski - Send the Pedophile to Prison
I know I'm late on this, sorry. I wasn't really gonna blog on it, but just read the gruesome transcript at Smoking Gun: Check it Out
Be warned, it goes down like a sun-heated quart of house fly-filled mayonnaise, it is a disgusting illustration of the way a predatory pedophile works. This evil pervert should be wrapped in barb wire and dragged through a field of broken AIDS vials, before having his teeth and fingernails yanked out/off. There is no fate too ugly for a pedophile.
A pedophile has little to no chance of true rehabilitation. The recidivism rate for these mentally ill perverts is the highest of all criminals. God only knows how many other girls/boys this sick bastard has ruined both here and abroad for the last 26 years.
It should come as no surprise that other slimy pedophiles (woody allen) jumped to this piece of filth's defense.
I don't care if this bastard is 76 years old, his last years should be spent moldering in a piss-drenched prison, with big burly inmates ripping into his sagging ass hourly.
Hopefully this wrong will be corrected. The idiot governor of CA has said no special treatment would be granted, so that's a plus. I hope he will face additional charges for fleeing the country. Maybe the best of both worlds could happen, and this chunk of dog-dirt suffers a debilitating stroke before going to spend his last days in prison.
Ugly rant over...

Obama's Nominations: The gift that keeps on giving
At this point it is fairly well documented that the legion of Cabinet picks and 'czar' positions that our Joker in Chief has nominated have an alarming ratio of criminals and misfits. An alarming number, that is, when compared to the rate of criminals and misfits in a slightly more respectable group, like, say, Congress. Compare that rate to the general public and you begin to get an appalling sense of the president's incapacity for surrounding himself with people of good character and adequate decision making skills.
But don't take my word for it, google Obama + Cabinet + Failure to pay taxes... Or check here for what is in no way a comprehensive list of the ne'erdowells Obama has chosen.
Enter Kevin Jennings. Obama's appointed director for the Department of Education’s Office of Safe and Drug Free Schools. Attempt to maintain a mental stress on the word Safe while reading what follows.
Jennings admits in his own book, that he had knowledge of a 15 year old student's affair with am older adult. Statutory rape.
In Jennings' own written word (pulled from Jake Tapper's ABC Blog):
It matters not one bit that this was a same sex situation. I don't care about that, I'm not some nutty fundamental minister that cares if two adults have sex. What I care about is a teacher hiding a situation of statutory rape from officials. Further, that same teacher gave abhorrent advice to the young man. Use a rubber. Nice.
No reporting to the authorities, to the boy's parents, or even to a school counselor. And nothing about avoiding a public bathroom at a bus station and the incredible risk (other than an STD that is) to the student's health and possibly his life. It could have come in the form of a torn rectum, or a bloody beating. Either way, it should have been clear to Jennings that a bus station is not safe. There could be any number of perils, especially for a 15yo gay boy. Vagrants and transients, or just somebody witnessing the act and the possibility of an attack. Nope, no warnings, no caution, no dissuading... None of that, just, hey there buckaroo, use a rubber.
Ladies and Gentlemen, Kevin Jennings, introducing your Director of Safe and Drug Free Schools.
Despicable. Another amazingly brazen entry into President Joker's seemingly endless parade of idiots. Can't wait for the next one.

“’Brewster has something he needs to talk with you about,’ she intoned ominously. Brewster squirmed at the prospect of telling, and we sat silently for a short while. On a hunch, I suddenly asked ‘What’s his name?’ Brewster’s eyes widened briefly, and then out spilled a story about his involvement with an older man he had met in Boston. I listened, sympathized, and offered advice. He left my office with a smile on his face that I would see every time I saw him on the campus for the next two years, until he graduated.”
Jennings in 2000 told a GLSEN conference that Brewster told him he “’met someone in the bus station bathroom and I went home with him.’ High school sophomore, 15 years old. That was the only way he knew how to meet gay people. I was a closeted gay teacher, 24 years old, didn’t know what to say, knew I should say something quickly. So I finally, my best friend had just died of AIDS the week before, I looked at Brewster and said, ‘You know, I hope you knew to use a condom.’ He said to me something I will never forget, He said ‘Why should I, my life isn’t worth saving anyway.’”

A valuable lesson re-learned on the toll road
I normally refuse to take the toll road from Leesburg VA to Mclean VA , it’s about 20 miles or so and costs $5… It’s the most expensive stretch of road anywhere. And having the EZPass transponder hooked up to a credit card is a dangerously rapid way of growing your bill. But today I was running late, and so decided to willingly subject myself to the highway robbery of the Dulles Greenway.
It turns out it was $5 well spent on a lesson I needed, and I feel everyone could benefit from.
I left the Greenway portion of the toll road to merge with the Dulles portion, and pulled in behind a hearse. Sometimes I dart over and use the HOV lane to pass folks or to avoid snarls at other on-ramps along the toll road, but I couldn’t get over and was stuck behind the hearse. The license plate read TAPS-3. I was too busy scanning traffic to look in through the back windshield.
The HOV lane being just as clogged up as the one I was in, I made to pass the hearse on the right. As soon as I merged over, I saw the black and silver placard on the right side of the hearse. Military.
I pulled up next to the limousine and glanced over. And took a long second look on my double take. Inside, in bright, crisp colors that stood out against the morose black and white of the transport, a coffin wrapped in the flag. The driver was alone, staring dutifully ahead.
I don’t know who was within the red, white, and blue bundled coffin, I don’t know their story, I know next to nothing about them.
But here is what I do know: The soldier laying within must have just come from Dulles Airport , on a military transport, returning home. The patriot died overseas, Afghanistan or Iraq , and was being escorted to Arlington Cemetery , the final leg of a journey that is unimaginable for me. This man, or woman, somebody that gave their life for this country, perhaps saving a fellow soldier, or protecting civilians in country, was being driven to their funeral service. The person’s family would get a few brief moments with their child one last time, after not having seen him or her in months, maybe a couple of years even.
I was taken aback. Humbled. And honored to share just a few miles of that journey. There is no way I can convey a single thought or prayer to that poor family on this gloomy day, but my heart and every prayer of comfort and thanks I can muster goes out to them. I pray that they find some measure of solace and deliverance from pain in the coming hours, days, and weeks. I fervently hope they can overcome their grief and celebrate the life of this fallen hero. And if I could, I would offer my heart felt thanks to the parents and family for raising somebody with the honor and sense of duty it takes to selflessly join the military and be sent away to fight for our country, to protect the freedoms we enjoy, and sometimes take for granted.
Amidst the sense of honor, and sadness, also grew anger. That there was not any sort of escort, police, military, or otherwise, is galling to me. We honor a million stupid things every day, parades, commemorations, and other silliness, but this dead soldier did not rate a military or police escort? But perhaps the solemnity of the circumstance is better served without a parade, without a motorcade.
Tears stood in my eyes, and a lump still sticks in my throat. I will never know you, but thank God for you, sir. You transformed my ‘expensive’ $5 shortcut today into an incalculable lesson.

ACORN Video #4...How many years did we have to listen about the evils of Haliburton?
A Long Time Ago...
in a Presidency Far Far Away...
An evil empire sullied the Presidency....
The Liberal Alliance Struggled...
Against Haliburton, employer of the dark lord,
Darth, Um, Dick Cheney...

Against Haliburton, employer of the dark lord,
Darth, Um, Dick Cheney...
So under Bush, Haliburton won some routine no-bid contracts. It happens all the time in the government contracting sector. Every government contract has no bid sub contracts. Usually several. By the way, Haliburton won no-bids under that old republic jedi Bill Clinton too, but Clinton was immune for some reason...
Well that was Clinton and this is Dick Cheney. An evil, evil conservative, so it was OK. Newspapers printed inflaming articles, unwashed granola chewing chicks marched with banners in the streets, and great (/sarcasm) bands like Rage Against the Machine dedicated entire albums to it.
Fast forward to now, and the current president, otherwise known as the Messiah, who worked for ACORN (suing the federal government in a trial lawyer capacity), is somehow not the focus ire of the leftists in this country. No rage. No anger. No articles, no smelly hippie bitches marching, and no badly written songs. Nothing, after ACORN video, after ACORN video, after ACORN video.
Oh, one more after ACORN video needed, for guess what? There's now a fourth video from the dynamic duo of O'keefe and Giles, they who would slay giants...
Video Numero Quatro, San Bernadino Edition
(Scroll down for the first three O'Keefe/Giles videos...)
So until Obama faces the self righteous wrath and fire that Cheney did for his Haliburton ties (huh, no videos there btw...), I'll be pushing this crap down your throats at every opportunity.
Enjoy!

It's Official, if you disagree with Obama, you're probably a racist...
...At least according to the worst president since FDR, Jimmah Cartah.
In an interview today Carter claimed that there is a 'heightened climate of racial and other hate speech'. And since the media (NBCCCP) is many miles into the liberal la la land, no such assertion need be supported with any sort of pesky facts. I mean, why support your claim when just saying it in front of a sympathetic camera is enough?
It's the old liberal mantra - Conservatives are innate racists... Not so different in tone than the oft bandied Southern-Redneck-Cousin-Humper bung, or the rampant undertone of Anti-Christian bigotry that rages like a California wildfire amongst the hippies on the left. Except it's a broad, sweeping generalization, often shouted with the words hitler, fascist, or nazi. (Hey, for kicks, google or bing the phrase Godwin's law...)
It would never enter the stegosaur liberal mind that we simply disagree with man.
We don't want socialized medicine. So we must be racists.
We don't want the government owning stakes in the auto industry. So we must be racists.
We don't want the government to enter into peace talks with rogue regimes that bring no sort of compromise to the table. So we must be racists.
We don't want companies to be bailed out, nor do we want the government telling them who should and should not remain on staff. So we must be racists.
We don't care to see 9/11 turned into some sort of environmental nitwit holiday, where it's just another three day weekend spent drunk. So we must be racists.
We don't want higher taxes, bigger government, cap and trade legislation, union thuggery and strong-arm tactics, or any of the other political gristle the Communist-in-Chief his ramming both down our throats and up our asses. So, of course Virginia, we must be racists.
Dissent, ladies and gentlemen, is no longer patriotic. It is apparently racist...
I'd be remiss if I didn't point out just a bit of the (wanton) racism/bigotry on the left. Himey Town? Tawana Brawley? Abandoning the gay agenda the moment the dems get in office? Obama's ageism knocks during the campaign and against Gerald Walpin? The day in, day out, class warfare? Or jeez, how about perpetuating of an enormous welfare class in order to create an uneducated and angry base that keeps voting these socialists in?
Be assured that I'm not dismissing racism on the right. It's there if you look for it. Just as it's there on the left if you look for it.
But to immediately go for the race card without a cursory evaluation of the points the other side is putting forth in opposition is, quite frankly, racist.

NY Post: Hooker, Line, and Sinker; ACORN and Video #3
Another video turns up, and you're beginning to wonder how many offices this pair has hit. In the third video of its kind (thus far) the O'keefe/Giles team is single handedly slaying the ACORN giant.
Story Here
Curiously, the main stream media is only sparingly touching on this scandal, the organization that is so tangled up in Obama that you can't tell where the corruption starts and ends. (A safe be would be it starts right at the bottom and goes all the way to the top...)
With Obama ruining the economy and foriegn relations at a record pace, he's thus far shown he's Jimmy Carter reborn.
With the widescale corruption and sleezy Chicago style politics, he is now showing us that he's Clinton reborn.
